Introduction:

One of the major festivals of India known as a “festival of lights” called ‘Dipawali’. Second largest country of the world population is India celebrating this festival with full of joy. Name itself shows its importance. Lights/divo/dip is the sign of winning over the darkness. As per the famous epic Ramayana when the lord ram returns to the Ayodhyaa at that time whole city was decorated with lights and from that day Indian people celebrating this festival every year. Schools , colleges , businesses , every things remain shut for several days. (it may be 5-15 days) people are enjoying their holidays with family, shopping, sweet, visit new places etc. this festival having its religious importance also. Business men are doing worship of their books of account called ‘Chopada poojan’ and goddess laxmi  called ‘laxmi poojan’ on different days of this fest. Generally Laxmi poojan is on the day of Dhanteras and chopda poojan on the day called dipawali/Diwali. Here one more thing is very important and that is Firecrackers. The fireworks were used to accompany many festivities. Dipawali is having its largest consumption. Due to several disadvantage and where it becomes part to show people’s happiness, the question arise that use of firecrackers is it ok?

 In Brief:

Q. Can we celebrate our festival without firecrackers?
A. yes, of course every festival has its own way to celebrate. Like dipawali we should celebrate with lights and Dip , Rangoli , Sweets , Family get-together and more. Firecrackers are not only way of celebration.

Q. What are the disadvantages of firecrackers?
A.
Waste of Money
It just gives you enjoyment at high cost. I.e. not worthy.
It can be used for different purpose and helpful to develop the nation as well as economy
 Accident
Every year so many peoples are admitted in hospital because of several injuries during  festivals celebration with firecrackers.
sometimes peoples houses got fire.
Environment
It affects Noise pollution, air pollution as well as economic environment also.
It affects social environment also.

Q. How it affects Social environment?
A. it’s very common thing that people celebrates festival of Diwali in three days (Minimum) pre, post and day itself. Firecrackers go on 24*7 because there is no such time limit on for it. It creates problem for child, household, aged, students, etc. the major problem is to sleep and study. People who are sick or other who wants to sleep and student who wants to study they can’t neither go for sleep nor study.  Some are crazy people who celebrate firecrackers on the road, disturbing traffic and so on. Without any fear of law and order.

Q. who wants to study during festival time?
A. generally, a student who pursuing a course of Chartered accountant is the only course who conduct the examination during Festival.  ICAI the said body conduct its examination during the time of Diwali fest. So should student try to read with this noisy environment or should request to ICAI pls Change the dates of examination? Answered remains same ICAI never change the dates because it’s the one of the largest and responsible body of India who wants to produce intelligent chartered accountant so student must go with reading with any condition. Best of guys..!!

Q. how can be such crazy thing happens without fear of law? (Firecrackers on the road, publically)
A. It is very simple, because who does this thing is having enough political and judicial support as well as large money power. So, nobody can complaint about it. In India everybody known that law an order is only in books. No one can prove it. To survive in this environment you need to shut your mouth, ignore unhealthy things, make your own way to escape, contacts, and bribes. Stuck/ accident may be happened on the road due to such things.

Q. production of fireworks having large employment opportunity?
A. maybe it has, shivakashi in India production hub of firecrackers.  But should we don’t divert this labor and workforces to the projects which are helpful in development like making dam, national highways etc. because the firecrackers industry doesn’t have any development phase.

Q. Any religious important?
 A. India known as a “unit in diversifications”. India having wide range of culture and religion. Firecrackers doesn’t have any religious important but there is religion who guide for not to use firecrackers. It is Jain religion. Majority Jain people are doesn’t use firecrackers due to care of own self and other creatures also. Its good other also should learn that.

Conclusion:
The festival of Diwali is celebrated with diya/lights but firecrackers changed the way of celebration. With the major disadvantage people don’t think to change again way of celebration. One person can’t change the world but a teacher does. With the improvement in level of education. It is became duty of teacher to guide future of nation in right path. To guide them about firecrackers and many things, which is harmful/ not worthy use to individual as well as nation?   Let’s hope for the day when people enjoy the festival without firecrackers as much as they enjoyed with it.
Many Sweets, chocolates, deserts, new clothes & toys, holiday packages love & care, Blessings are waiting for you ……….

Happy Diwali and Happy New Year (સાલ મુબારક / નુતનવર્ષ અભિનંદન)

Thank you.
